I would like to thank Professors Douglas Cochran, Dept. of Mathematics, Arizona State University and Ahmed Tewfik, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, University of Minnesota, for serving on the editorial board for the past five years.

Let us welcome our new editors: Professors Carlos Cabrelli, Pabellón I. 1428 Buenos Aires, Ciudad Universitaria, Argentina and Armin Iske, Department of Mathematics, University of Leicester, Leicester LE1 7RH, UK.

A number of our members of the editorial board have volunteered to invite experts to write quality expository articles in a number of topics in sampling theory and its applications.

In our fourth year, we are moving to streamline all activities of the journal through the office of the secretary of the journal, professor Masaru Kamada. In particular, all the activities of the executive editor and the publisher, as I intend to move slowly during the next two years towards semi-retirement, and watch sampling theory and its applications flourishes. We will move gradually towards this goal, and I urge our friends in their communications to first write to the secretary with a cc. to me.

Last, I may remind our readers (again) that institutional and personal subscriptions to our journal constitute its main source of support. However, they are still not coming close to sufficiently supporting the journal.

I should also bring to the attention of our authors that we have changed the size of the text to 5.25” X 8.00”.
