In this issue we announce our first restructuring of the editorial board. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Professor Ahmed I. Zayed for serving as a managing editor for the past five years. We are most fortunate to have Professors Akram Aldroubi, Karlheinz Gröchenig, Paulo J. S. G. Ferriera and M. Zuhair Nashed accept the demanding responsibility of leading our journal as editors-in-chief.

With this restructuring, the review process will be as follows: All papers will be send to our assistant executive editor, Professor Gerhard Schmeisser, who in turn will send the paper to an editor to process the review. The latter will send his report to one of the editors-in-chief, who will make the final decision of accepting or rejecting, and will then inform the executive editor to set the date for publication.

Also, let us welcome our new editors, Professors Hong Oh Kim (KAIST, South Korea) and Zuowei Shen (National University of Singapore, Singapore). We have also initiated the positions of associate editors with due regard of having women mathematicians, scientists and engineers on our editorial board paying attention to the our world geographic representation. So, let us welcome our associate editors, Professors Adel Faridani (Oregon State University, USA), Antonio G. Garcia (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain), Costas Karanikas (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece), Pammy Manchanda (GNDU, India), Xiaoping Shen (Ohio University, US) and Wenchang Sun (Nankai University, China).

To help the citation for our journal, we encourage everyone to cite his STSIP paper(s). The abbreviation is Sampl. Theory Signal Image Process.

As you know we have not increased the subscription of the journal for the past four years. Starting with the Volume 5 next January 2006, the institutional subscription will be US $199.00 (plus postage) for the printed copy (the online version included) and US $99.00 for the online version. Price for the individual subscriptions remains the same.
