Preface

We have here the two Special STSIP Issues that cover contributions from authors attending the SAMPTA09 held in Marseille, France in May 2009. The guest editors are Professors Bruno Torrésani and Laurent Fesquet. They had done a wonderful job in calling for the papers, and doing the complete review process. We owe Bruno and Laurent our sincere thanks and appreciation.

As I am reaching 79 in two months, it is time to have a good rest and the possibility to travel. Thus, I have decided to resign the Executive Editor of our journal, and may stay on as an honorary editor during the transition period.

My very good friend, Professor M. Zuhair Nashed, of the University of Central Florida, is kind enough to accept leading our journal as the Executive Editor.

I would like to express our sincere thanks to Professor Karlheinz Gröchenig, the Editor-in-Cheif for his very dedicated and valuable service to our journal for almost a decade. Even though he would like to take a break, I am sure that we can still count on his valuable help. I would like to welcome Professor Carlos Cabrelli as one of the Editors-in-Chief of our journal, and Professor Kil H. Kwon as Assistant Executive Editor. I would also like to invite Professors Bruno Torrésani, Laurent Fesquet, Shidong Li, and Pina Marziliano as editors of our journal.

As I leave, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all our editors for their dedication to our journal, and more importantly, for their unforgettable valuable friendship.
